I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix * O2 X! d J3 _7 [; ]- c0 [( D! Q3 B0 ~$ e$ {' [$ N2 d3 \/ k* Z
